I am proud to belong to a family who have passion for arts.   Although my brother doesn’t have any formal training in painting, he excels in oil painting.   Really, you can’t help but be amazed with people who have exceptional talents like in singing, dancing, painting…  Each one of us has innate God given talents and we should showcase them.

My  brother is a member of Group Artist of Taytay, a hometown group  which was formed  year 1975  with men and women who had common passion – that is painting.   All his painting are done by hand and heart of a true artist.   It can be seen in his works – the intense passion, the colors, the details….. All were done out of love, perseverance and endurance.   And even if he and his family are living in “hand to mouth” existence because he is a struggling painter, there is so much fulfillment in him.

Painting is not a sure source of steady income…. but he managed to pull through life’s hardship… He is blessed  that most of his entries in Arts competition that he joined gave him trophies, monetary prize and  pride as an artist.  And those blessings are what helped him send his 3 children (2 in college and 1 in High School) in school.  The eldest finished Fine Arts and his daughter is taking up Film Making.   My SIL is a High School teacher who patiently stood by his side.
