Is Vanity fair?Posted on August 26th, 2010 @ 8:15 pm
What will I do to complete my look for the coming wedding of my officemate? Alright, I have spotted a gown in a mall somewhere and a pair of heeled shoes to match. All I need to do is to purchase them. I have already talked to my favorite hair stylist to do home service for my pedicure, manicure and hairdo and make up of course. Since, I will be one of the sponsors, I wanted to stand out too (vain huh).
My stylist suggested to have an eyelash extension which is a hot new rage now. I remember my friend whom I met few weeks back proudly displaying her thicker, longer, eye opening and prominent eyelashes. Such a cool and sexy look!
Okey, I trusted my stylist when she promised that she will transform me on the day of the wedding with my new look to WOW!

Point and shootPosted on August 12th, 2010 @ 6:40 am
Since it’s Thursday and we are off from work, I decided to be the perfect homebody that I could be. I started clearing away unnecessary papers , decluttering our shelves of unwanted files. I saw hundreds of loose pictures that needed to be stored in the album. However, album seemed to be not common nowadays, with the advent and proliferation of digital cams, pictures can alreay be stored in CD’s. I believe that digital cameras had almost killed the film industry. I already stored my regular camera using a photosensitive paper (film) that usually is sent to a film lab for developing. Now, I had gone modern already and is using a digital camera that will save the picture onto a flash memory card. Point , pose and shoot and you can already view the images when downoaded to a computer.
My digital compact camera is very handy”a point-and shoot camera”which is in my bag all the time. There are wide range of digital cameras in the market depending on what you want. My daughter who is taking up Multi Media Arts and Sciences is using a larger (and more expensive) digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR). It is more complex than what I am using. There are higher end digital cameras but I don’t think I will go for it. I know it requires training and passion for such cameras.
The film industry I believe is almost phased out and most likely bulky photo albums will no longer be a sight in the living rooms. Now, pictures can be viewed and posted in Facebook, Friendster, Twitter, etc for our close friends to view.
What I need to do with those pictures are just to scan them & saved onto hard disks and CD’s before they fade away. I need to preserve them for the next next generation to see.

A better and good bitePosted on August 6th, 2010 @ 7:49 pm
Goodbye my dentures! I was convinced to have fixed bridges by my favorite dentist , Dr. Delfin as he explained to me that I will be at ease with bridges. I will get the benefit of a good smile, better bite and a younger look. The advent of technologies like crowns, bridges, implants, braces had made a lot of individuals feel confident about themselves.
True enough, my officemates were wondering what are the changes in me when I reported to work. They can’t pinpoint it outright until I told them. The face shape for that matter had changed because of the adjustment made on my teeth.
There is a special dental toothbrush recommended for bridges. I am no longer whistling while brushing my teeth on hand. (lol)
Keep on smiling, keep shining!

Excuse me?Posted on June 10th, 2010 @ 8:50 am
I was busy giving left and right instructions to my children but nobody seemed to listen. I got mad and yelled for I thought I was talking to deafs or they were ignoring me but I found out the culprit. EAR PLUGS! The 3 of them are so engrossed listening to their Ipod and unmindful of their surroundings, unaware that their dear Mama has been talking endlessly. “Excuse me?” What are you telling me?” So, they have not heard any single thing that I have said. I don’t want to repeat myself… again..
Based on what I have read, hearing loss develops gradually and slowly. Prolonged exposure to high decibel insults to the ear is not healthy and way beyond the recommended safety threshold. Noise pollution is also a contributory factor.
Of course, my children can’t get rid of the ipods completely but I just hope they will heed my advice to take it easy using those gadgets before it is too late.
“Excuse me?” Are you listening?”
