When a man loves a woman!Posted on February 14th, 2012 @ 6:23 pm

Ladies what will it take for a man to take you to bed?
Bunch of flowers, chocolates, nice dinner, expensive gifts, flattering words?”
The answer is simple! Not less than 2 words not even 3. I love you isn’t enough, it should be I DO. If he can’t back it up with a ring don’t even say yes. WHY?
Because you are worth waiting for.

Not so good morning…Posted on October 13th, 2011 @ 2:57 am
Good morning everyone although it is not so good morning for me! A very close friend succumbed to heart attack just last night and it was only early morning today that I’ve learned about it. I can only offer prayers for the repose of her soul and her untimely demise definitely is a sore loss for the family. Technology connected me to her only daughter Sarah because it is physically impossible for me to go to her mother’s wake. I wanted so much to give the little girl a hug and know she being a strong willed and a brave girl would find comfort with the thought that her mom was safely home to her Creator. No more pain.. no more sufferings.. There is peace.. goodbye my friend…
Oh well.. life has to go on. Good morning everyone!

Past her teenage yearsPosted on September 16th, 2011 @ 4:33 pm
My daughter celebrated her 20th birthday and I was glad that she lived and enjoyed her teenage years in a fun but legal means. How blessed are we to have a child who did not give us much problems while she was growing up. And so today,as she celebrate her 20th birthday, I felt relieved that she has gone past her teenage years.. though I know she is a responsible girl, but sometimes we can’t help worry because peer pressures are one factor that can influence even the most behaved child.
Her celebration is a simple get together with family minus us her parents because we are working overseas. However, we see to it that they are not only well provided for (allowances, cellphone loads), we lavish them the love and care they need despite the long distance. The wonder of technology keep us always in touch with each other.
I was touched with a crying picture of her before the fondant cake. Is that an act or she was really sad? Perhaps she is sad because we are far or maybe because it is already goodbye to teenage life. Well, it will take a while before the reality sink in and for her to realize that she is no longer a teenager and she is now going to face the complicated world of adult. But once she found her place in the world of mature ones, she may not wish to go back to teenage years full of challenges.

It’s MOM’s day….Posted on May 9th, 2011 @ 4:02 pm
My friend sent this poem to me years back and I thought of also sharing this to all my blogger friends who too like me enjoy being a Mom… Happy Mother’s Day to All!
A Mother’s love
A Mother’s love is something
that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away…
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking…
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems…
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation…
A many splendour-ed miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God’s tender guiding hand.

A birthday poem for hubby…..Posted on April 2nd, 2011 @ 7:48 am

To my dear husband ….
If you were not born today…where would I be?
Buried in the depths of misery..
Doomed to sadness and agony..
Crying for Love…hopelessly
But you were born today
I thank God sincerely
For all the happy life you gave me
We love you!

Busy handy hubby…Posted on March 18th, 2011 @ 6:38 pm
I am proud to announce how my hubby works in the house…. be it with electrical, plumbing, fixing and installation…. He’s the man! His role is primarily the head of the family while I resigned to the fact that I will only be his support and I should not be taking over his responsibility as the head. My hubby is an engineer by profession but he is a handy man. He doesn’t mind helping around the house and loves to tinker with things too. Admittedly, I am somewhat a spoiled wife (in tolerable degree!).
He, growing up from a middle class family was taught and trained to do household chores even as a young boy. So, it is not surprising that he knows everything and would gladly help me manage our household. No, not really he is spoiling me but we made arrangements to give and take …. which I believe is one ingredient that strengthened and made our relationship last for almost 25 years now. In fact, in 2 months time, we are going to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. The relationship is short of being perfect but I may say, almost perfect…
On days, that he is in the mood to work in the house especially during week-ends, there’s no stopping him doing like:

cleaning our aircon filter

cooking for us.. (his favorite work in the house)

fixing things

installing florescent light

after washing the clothes.. hanging them
He is also good in ironing clothes… in fact we fondly call him Mr. Iron Man… but I will make a separate posting next time. One thing good about my hubby is he doesn’t really mind to do odd (?) work because he hates being idle in the house….and for him it will not make him less of a man if he will do housework…. (lol. that’s my man).
What a good life for me if he will be doing all those chores always! Just kidding!

Flowers and prayer for the victims in JapanPosted on March 11th, 2011 @ 7:23 pm
This is what I am capable of doing .. to offer prayers. May you join me in prayers for all the people dead and the living in Japan. .

May all the souls of the people who perished in this accident in Japan
rest in peace always..inspite of the trauma they underwent in their last
moments. May the families of these people find comfort, peace in times of great grief.
And may they rest with the thought that their dead loved ones had finally joined their Creator.
May all those who were injured will heal fast and recover in the best possible manner
Shower them with peace and that they may all overcome their distress
Whatever destruction brought about by the quake and tsunami, let us not lose hope
And let us pray that Japan will rebuild very soon.

Loving your neighbor….Posted on March 6th, 2011 @ 3:40 pm

Mobile phone use has increased dramatically and became an indispensable gadget in our lives. Texting is favored more than calling by the young genre. They always come up with and play around with text messages using the Net lingo, that contains phonetic abbreviations and acronyms sometimes too hard for us elderly to decipher. It has many advantages and disadvantages depends on how resposible a mobile user we are.
Yesterday, we had proven the power of texting … we had launched a text brigade to ask for blood donation for a friend which I have posted yesterday who had undergone an open heart surgery. The hospital did not charged our friend for that complex procedure; t’was performed free as humanitarian help. Indeed, my friend was relieved from worries of where to produce money instantly. who was caught dumbfounded when she was told that her husband needs surgery. The long tedious operation was over after 6 hours yesterday, and the patient is still in ICU for monitoring since the 1st 24 hours is critical. Since it was done for free, the hospital only asked for blood donors amongst the friends of the patient. It will be saved in their Blood Bank to save other lives…..
Well meaning friends texted right away that they are more than willing to donate blood when they received the message that a friend was in need.
This is what we called “Loving your Neighbor!

Off today!Posted on March 4th, 2011 @ 7:30 am
Off for a while from blogging. We might spend our whole day to accompany a friend whose husband suffered stroke yesterday. He is now in the Medical Intensive Care Unit of a nearby hospital and no good news to date. Actually, yesterday, we were also there but no new development came out till we left to attend to some appointments. As my friend recounted, her husband complained of chest pain the night before and slept his aches away hoping that it will subside but woke up very early with unbearable pain. Since he can’t drive and calling and sending for an ambulance will take longer time, she decided to rushed him in a taxi but she almost panicked when he was sweaty, cold and pale and about to collapse. The medical team in the Emergency room who received them attached all tubes and did emergency procedures on his husband. Afterwards, she learned that his heart stopped beating for seconds but was revived. In case his condition deteriorates, he will undergo open heart surgery which was scheduled tomorrow. So, today, we will lend a hand the best way we can. We just need continuous prayers for her husband Vaughn.
Well, my hubby should cut out his hearty appetite as a warning. He too is taking regular medication for his hypertension and lately, his blood works yielded high triglycerides. I told him that he needs to take care of himself. Lol… and reminded him that gluttony is a mortal sin!
I’ll be out for a while… don’t miss me!!!!
these flowers might cheer up our friend…

My birthday cakesPosted on February 15th, 2011 @ 9:31 pm
I had two home made birthday cakes ordered from a friend which we feasted on two separate days that we were in the company of friends. Actually, my celebration was nothing grand… Let me say- it was simple but meaningful! I am already way past the age of partying and socializing and I am maintaining close circle of very good friends and I just love being with people of positive values and outlook in life. Those “nega” (negative) people are out of my list… although we were taught to love our neighbors and even our enemies. Oh well….

Lol… this is my birthday cupcakes… Actually, I tried this set up of cake (cupcakes) and it was something different. The number candles actually gave away my age (but I don’t mind). I brought it in the office to share with my colleagues.

This is my second cake which I shared during a Leader’s forum.
Indeed, if we learn how to give and to share our blessings, it will come back to us a hundredfold!
