120 deg. F …. undeniably summertimeApril 15th, 2011 @ 10:05 am
The heat is beginning to be uncomfortable at 120 deg. F…. having been to the cold winter months and when the weather changed drastically… most people are getting sick…I psyched myself that I should waste no time doing what I am supposed to do… packed all those winter clothes away and unpack all summer get ups. Reluctantly, I had managed to pull my senses to reality that I have to start my task for the day . So, after taking my power breakfast ( I intentionally prepared a heavy meal) I was all set.
Surprisingly, I began to enjoy my task… it gave me the chance to clear away (and keep some) clutters that had accumulated over the years. However, my clearing up day was quite slow paced because I leisurely looked at old pictures one by one which bring smiles of vivid memories…. letters from my children 5-6 years back, their doodles and drawings.. old report cards, recognition albums, medals and citations, certificate of recognition (yah.. they brought us pride and honor), year books. These things are too precious to ignore so I asked hubby to buy me a big, pretty box to store them all together. And it will be pass on to generation down the line or to whoever of my 3 children would like to keep it. I was quite teary-eyed realizing how fast our children has grown.. now they are in their 20s and pretty soon.. they will be on their own. And it will only be me and hubby together…
I also had the chance to finally found my favorite pretty swimsuit which I had stashed away for quite some time…. but wait.. it gave me some worries… I believe that it won’t fit me anymore…. I presumed it had shrunk or let us put it this way.. admittedly, I gained so the swimsuit appeared too small for my physique now. Well, since it is summertime.. this will be the best month to sweat off those calories and melt my fats away.
My whole day is not enough to finish what I am doing… sweaty and tired… I am looking forward to another day… I know I am burning some calories in the process….
